Quandry...

This is either the funniest or the saddest thing I've seen in a long, long time. I'm not sure which.

H.R. 808: To establish a Department of Peace and Nonviolence

What the hell is in the water in Ohio that makes his constituents re-elect this ... this ... good Lord, I don't even have a word for his kind. "Barking Moonbat" is way, way too mild.

Excrement, revisited.

There's another so-called "Assault Weapons" Ban in committee in congress. Ironically, it's H.R. 1022.

Just a couple of thoughts for you Democrats out there:

1. The affinity of the Democratic congress of the Clinton years was one of the things that cost your party its power over the legislature not so long ago. What is it with Democrats and gun control? Do you people still not get it? The war in Iraq got you the power back, but take note: Once you Dems get us out of Iraq, this will roll around again. I've seen insanity defined as something to the effect of "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result each time." Don't be insane. Don't be stupid. Gun control is, if nothing else, a political loser. Learn from it.

2. Gun control essentially assumes that only the government (as opposed to individual people) should have guns like AR-15s. Think about this, you Democrats: you're basically saying that only the military of the Bush administration and governmental powers like FEMA or the New Orleans Police Department should have the guns. News flash: FEMA is a joke. The N.O.P.D. abandoned the city it was supposed to protect during it's most desparate hour. Bush is imprisoning people without due process and tapping your phones. This argument that our modern army makes the Second Amendment obsolete is OVER. Bush's army is currently waging a war in Iraq which seems to be popular with pretty much nobody. And you think only Bush's army should have the "assault weapons"? How's that workin' out for 'ya so far? What are you counting on - the power of your vote? How'd that work out for you during the Bush years? Remember Florida? Now you want to rob yourself of liberty's last resort?

Have you Democrats lost your collective mind?

WE (as in We The People - remember that?) should have the guns. Not them. THAT's what the Second Amendment is all about.

Contact your Representative. Have him or her oppose this stinking heap of legislative excrement.

I'm still here, though currently neck deep in homework. HODAR bought a new AR-15 that I don't even have time to tell you about ...

Hopefully I'll re-discover blogging this weekend.

Stay tuned...

Ugh...

I've had the cold from the depths of hell since Wednesday. I'm feeling a little better today, but that's because I went to bed right after class yesterday, got up to eat, then stayed in bed until 9:30 this morning.

I have 2 exams on Monday. I could have done without this crap, thanks very much.

I think it's been 2 weeks since I pulled a trigger. Blech.

Grouse ... or not...

Went after grouse with my uncle again today. At least it was sunny with less wind this time, but the temps were still in the 20s. We walked for miles. The dog seemed to have a good time. But - again - we saw nothing. Nada. Zilch. Not so much as a track in the snow.

Oh, well. Beats sitting inside on a sunny, snowy Sunday.

18

I'm taking 18 hours this semester.

Sheesh.

I've got a Health Deviations class (AKA Med/Surg), Psych Nursing, Pharmacology II, Maternity & Childbearing, and an Intro to Computers class (just slightly insulting, that one is...)

I'm doing homework on the weekends.

Blogging may be light ... for a while...
